Me & Mew — one-to-one cat sitting in York
Cat Sitting
One-to-one care while you're out of their hair
Your cat stays exactly where they're happiest — home, in their own bed, with their own routine. I come to them for unhurried visits full of food, fuss and play, and you get a photo every time. No cattery, no carrier, no fuss.

hello!
The cat sitter who treats your cat like my own
Me & Mew started the way most good things do: with a cat. Percy has me completely wrapped around her paw, and after years of minding friends' cats whenever they went away, I realised it was the part of my week I looked forward to most. So I made it my job.
I look after only a handful of cats at a time, which means yours is never one of a crowd. I'll learn the little things — where they like to be scratched, which toy is the toy, the exact spot on the windowsill that gets the afternoon sun — and I'll treat your home as carefully as I treat your cat.
I'm York born and based, fully insured, and always happy to introduce myself before you book. The first hello is free, for you and for them.

What's included
Everything your cat needs, while you're away
Every visit is built around your cat. Pick and mix whatever they need — it's all part of the care.
Drop-in visits
I come to your home once or twice a day, on a schedule built around your cat.
Feeding & fresh water
Meals measured just how they like them, bowls washed, water always topped up.
Litter duty
Trays scooped, cleaned and freshened so everything stays just so.
Play & cuddles
Wand games, a warm lap or a quiet sit nearby — whatever your cat is in the mood for.
Medication
Tablets, drops or injections given calmly and confidently if your cat needs a little help.
Brushing & grooming
A gentle brush to keep coats glossy and hairballs at bay.
Plants, post & a lived-in look
I'll water the plants, bring in the post and tweak the curtains so the house never looks empty.
A photo every visit
A message and a picture after every drop-in, so you always know they're happy.

Kind words
Kind words from happy humans
Felicity sent us a photo every single day — we genuinely relaxed on holiday for the first time in years. Biscuit clearly adored her.— The Harts, Bishopthorpe
Our two can be a handful and one needs daily medication. Felicity was calm, reliable and so gentle with them. We won't use anyone else.— Sarah, Clifton
We came home to a settled, happy cat and a spotless house. You can tell she truly loves what she does.— Mark, Acomb
Service area
Caring for cats across York
Based in Haxby, I cover York and the villages around it — including the city centre, Clifton, Heworth, Fulford, Bishopthorpe, Acomb, Holgate, Haxby, Wigginton, Dunnington and Copmanthorpe.
Not sure you're on my patch? Just ask — for the right cat I'm usually happy to travel a little further.
Good questions
Things people often ask
How do you get into my home?
Most people hand me a key when we meet. I tag it with a code (never your name or address) and return it whenever you'd like. Key safes are welcome too.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured for caring for your cat and your home — and I'm glad to share the paperwork.
My cat is shy or needs medication — is that OK?
Completely. A lot of my visits are with shy cats, and I'm experienced giving tablets, drops and injections gently.
Can you look after more than one cat?
Of course — multi-cat households are my favourite kind of chaos. There's a small charge per extra cat.
How often will I hear from you?
After every visit. You'll get a message and at least one photo, so you're never left wondering.
Do you do overnight stays?
For now I focus on drop-in visits, which keep cats happiest in their own home. If you need overnights, ask and I'll help if I can or point you to someone I trust.
